International Women's Day

For the second year, the Consulate General of Haiti in Atlanta celebrated International Women's Day by hosting a seminar on the theme “Women and Society" on March 8 at the American Red Cross headquarters. For more than two hours, the participants discussed and exchanged ideas on "The role of women in the fight against juvenile delinquency”

The session was conducted by Ms. Amelia Cartier, Chief of Staff of the Dekalb County Board of Commissioners. She praised the power of the black woman, mother of mankind, and guardian of society . She also encouraged the women present to develop a strong relationship with their children and to get to their level to share their fears and dreams, to accompany them in their choices, and guide their need to satisfy their curiosity.

These women / mothers were touched by the discussions and the knowledge gained. They thank the Consulate for their initiatives to educate community members on current topics that everyone can relate to.
